Trump unhinged

I haven't posted in a while, in part because there has been so much to say that I haven't known where to start.  Let's just jump right in. The anti-Muslim rhetoric coming from the leading Republican nominee for president of this nation feels like a punch in the gut. It's actually hard to believe that it's true. I feel embarrassed for all of us.  How shameful, how un-American, how profoundly wrong and hurtful and backward.  I'm confident he won't be our next President, but what damage will he do to our standing in the world along the way? How many new extremists will be recruited to fight against us? How many of our friends and neighbors will feel unsafe, uncomfortable, unwelcome in their own land?

Let's hope this painful experience of being forced to listen to this person spew hate will be over in just a few short weeks.

Peace, Ingrid
