About this blog

Creating a society in which people of diverse races, religious affiliations, sexual orientations, and ethnic backgrounds have equitable access to the positive benefits of being American is deeply important to me. I have created a personal and professional life that is rich in diversity and can testify to the powerful benefits of inclusion, curiosity, fairness, and hope.

I have decided to focus much of my posting on celebrating diversity, environmental justice, and ideas about raising anti-racist children. These are topics of great importance to me.

As a full time working mother of several, I don't have much extra time in the day, but I want to take the time I do have to share my reflections on this issue in the hopes that it opens some minds. I know it's not much, but it's a contribution I can make.

My policy is to try to post only positive ideas. I am not interested in participating in a debate. Although criticism of the racism we sometimes see at the highest levels of leadership does make its way into my posting occasionally.

I hope that you enjoy my reflections and reading the articles that I repost from other authors who have more time than I to produce original content on these important topics.

And I hope this clarifies without any doubt my perspective on topics of racial and social justice. Thanks for reading, and please contact me if you have any questions.
