And since it is Mother's Day, let me remind us all of the great importance of teaching our children values of peace and acceptance. The world is ever-changing and our sense of what is right and wrong is evolving and maturing, just as we are as a species. I sincerely believe that as time goes on humankind is becoming more kind and generally a nicer crowd to share a planet with. We still have a long way to go, but I think we are heading in the right direction.
Happy Mother's Day and happy spring,
Ingrid Irigoyen
My name is Ingrid Atzl Irigoyen. This is a place to share my personal reflections on a range of social justice issues, and echo the positive energy that authors who are experts on these topics put into the world by reposting their writings. It is one very modest contribution I can make to encourage a more just world.
