What happened in Minneapolis is unconscionable, unforgivable. Americans of all races should be outraged that these acts of police brutality against people of color keep happening, even with all the attention that is now being paid to this issue. We can and must do better. We need to show more empathy and compassion for each other, and we need to demand justice in every system in America that is currently tainted by racism, which seems to be just about all of them.
Today I'm wishing for peace and justice in Minneapolis.
And I'm appreciating this community poem written after the senseless death of Ahmaud Arbery just recently:

My name is Ingrid Atzl Irigoyen. This is a place to share my personal reflections on a range of social justice issues, and echo the positive energy that authors who are experts on these topics put into the world by reposting their writings. It is one very modest contribution I can make to encourage a more just world.
