And this is a thoughtful piece on Salon that someone shared on Facebook recently:
My name is Ingrid Atzl Irigoyen. This is a place to share my personal reflections on a range of social justice issues, and echo the positive energy that authors who are experts on these topics put into the world by reposting their writings. It is one very modest contribution I can make to encourage a more just world.

Baltimore
I'm so saddened by the anger and frustration that has exploded in Baltimore. I'm sad for the great inequality that drives so many kids to lash out in this senseless and counterproductive way, and sad for the neighbors of these kids who are now dealing with destruction in communities that really really didn't need this. I think this piece by Petula Dvorak in the Wash Post is helpful to some folks who may be watching the news and scratching their heads: http://wapo.st/1bbq18O
