Turning the soil

This quote is particularly meaningful to me and I hope others will appreciate its honesty as we work to be better people and good parents: "The thing about being an anti-racist parent is that you have to be brave. You have to keep pulling out the roots that are embedded in your own heart. It’s like one of those garden weeds that you can’t smother or yank or poison.
